Aaron & Erin....Just Married :-)

Sunday, August 07, 2005

We did it!

I'm officially a Mrs.

Aaron and I tied the knot yesterday and it was glorious.

We were met with a perfect, cloudless 85-degree day. Not too hot, not too cold.

It was like a dream.

I'll post more later, but now I'm simply waiting for our ride to take us to the airport so we can be off to Australia for 10 days of honeymoonin' bliss :-)

Happy Anniversary: Aaron & Erin's first date

Aaron and I went on our first date two years ago today. To quote the entry from his blog:

Goofy Ass Grin
I have a lot I can say tonight - but am not. Too early. But needless to say - I have a premonition about something... ...and when I can talk about it, you can bet your sweet arse I will.

Though the date stamp doesn't show it, our first date occurred on the 4th. It's likely Aaron didn't have time to post the night of the 4th because we had been up walking around and holding hands until 3 a.m.!

Pre-wedding no jitters
Last night we hosted the group of Aaron's friends and family that came in from Portland. We dined on Chinese while de-veining shrimp and scooping out potatoes (we're having a party tonight and needed some help). The mood was sort of like The Big Chill, only there wasn't any dope and there were several generations present.

With the Portland contingent here now, it's finally starting to seem like it's really time for a wedding.

Wrapping up a bunch of work and completing my outgoing message(s) on e-mail and voice mail didn't quite seal the deal. Seeing folks from out of town (the same people who you see once a year if you're lucky) is what did it for me -- this is really going to happen!!

I couldn't be happier. Aaron and I have lived together for about 18 months and have been through more ups and downs than most married couples go through in their first 5 years of marriage. We're built to last.

Hopefully, I'll post one more time before we head out on our honeymoon -- Australia here we come!

peace out.
